Must! Charities Launches The Pitch

March 18, 2025

Paso Robles, CA – Must! Charities is thrilled to introduce The Pitch, an exciting new initiative designed to help local nonprofits refine their message, amplify their impact, and connect with key supporters. This three-month coaching experience provides nonprofit leaders with expert coaching, strategic insight, and a dynamic platform to amplify their mission.

The program culminates in a high-energy pitch event on November 6th. Finalists will deliver a powerful 3-minute presentation in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. The top three pitches will be awarded cash prizes, and attendees will have the opportunity to donate directly to participating organizations.

"Every nonprofit has a powerful story," says Becky Gray, Executive Director of Must! Charities. "The Pitch is designed to equip organizations with the tools they need to tell their story effectively—not just for this event, but for long-term growth and sustainability."

Nonprofits serving San Luis Obispo County are invited to apply by May 2nd for this transformative experience. From the applicants, 8-10 organizations will be selected to receive one-on-one coaching and participate in group training sessions running from August through November. These training sessions will provide strategic guidance, expert feedback, and networking opportunities to help nonprofits craft compelling pitches that resonate with donors, partners, and the broader community.

Of the participants, 6-8 finalists will be chosen to present at The Pitch event, gaining invaluable exposure and the opportunity to compete for substantial cash awards. Meanwhile, audience members will have the chance to contribute directly to causes they believe in, ensuring immediate impact beyond the competition itself.

"The Pitch is a testament to our community’s dedication to supporting local nonprofits," says Randy Gray, Director of Community Investments at Must! Charities. "With industry-leading coaches and local business involvement, this program is designed to elevate the nonprofit sector and create lasting change."
