The Need
Lumina Alliance serves survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault and has the opportunity to expand and enhance services in San Luis Obispo County. According to CDC projections, 41% of our county’s population will experience some form of sexual violence in their lifetime. It is essential to support and strengthen the organization’s infrastructure, enhance client services, and optimize its housing facilities to address the growing demands of our community.
The Outcome
Through strategic investments in people, services, and facilities, Lumina Alliance will achieve measurable outcomes:
- Financial and Organizational Stability: over three years, increase unrestricted funding by 22%, expand the donor base to achieve a 13% growth in overall donations, and double volunteer recruitment to 48 new volunteers.
- Enhanced Client Services: increase volunteer engagement for crisis line coverage by 25%; improve access to Spanish-speaking therapy by 80%; implement a modernized crisis line software system; restore advocacy services and housing services in Paso Robles.
- Expanded Housing Capacity: increase North County emergency shelter capacity; expand San Luis Obispo transitional housing; develop and implement a comprehensive Facilities Sustainability Plan that includes maintenance schedules.
